Brahmacharya, retention and sexual energy

One of the most searched and least carefully written-about subjects in yoga. These eight guides separate what the classical texts actually teach, what twentieth-century revival writing added, what Taoist practice contributes, and what the research does and does not show — including where the evidence points against the popular claims.

Nothing in this section is medical advice, and none of it treats, prevents or cures anything. Persistent pelvic or testicular pain, erectile changes, low mood, compulsive behaviour or distress about sex belong with a doctor or a qualified therapist — not with a practice experiment.
